Lake Mountain Ski Patrol thrilled with $1000 donation
On 21st March 2009 ELSC opened it's hearts and wallets in support of the Victorian Bushfire Fund. Our Hawaii Night was a great success with over 150 club members enjoying a night of entertainment and auctions. We managed to raise over $2000 which is being donated to the Bushfire relief efforts... A big thankyou to Andrew Firmin, Treasurer, and Luke Hickey, Club Captain, who have been working to find community groups devastated by the 2009 Black Saturday Bushfires. Lake Mountain Ski Patrol were one such group and with a purpose closely aligned with our own strategic goals, and seemed the perfect recipiant of our fundraising efforts. Our donation will go a small way to assisting the Ski Patrol to rebuild and continue to ensure visitors to the region are safe over the ski season. We are still working within the Kinglake region to identify another small club or community group who can benefit from our fundrasing event and will keep you posted.
