Bringing the nippers season to a close we held our Annual Presentation evening at the clubrooms. This proved to be a good decision as we had most nippers families present and everyone enjoyed the evening...
The nipper panel decided to include more trophy categories this year. They included Most Improved and Encouragement Awards for all of the age groups from under 6 to under 14. A list of all Award winners is located on the Honours and Awards page>
During the season our under 14 age group trained for and passed their Surf Rescue Certificate which we also acknowledged on the evening and they have since started their patrol duties prior to the season finishing.

Through the Age Managers being able to deliver the extended programof water safety survival and competition this season we were able to have three in house carnivals during the season. It was great to see the nippers competing and using the skills they learntduring training. I am sure you will agree the participation and place ribbons were certainly a hit with the nippers. Their expressions showed it all.

The evening also gave us the chance to not only recognise the nippers and their achievements but to also recognise the contribution that the Age Managers and assistants and water safety patrol members have given to the nipper program to make it most successful for everyone involved and acknowledge their contribution with appreciation certificates for everyone.

Age Managers for your time with the program, panel meetings and excellent paper work kept during the season. This certainly made it easier with the selection of Award and Trophy winners this season.

It was wonderful to see thenipper faces when their names were read out and the surprise look on the faces as they came forward to receive the award.

This year we have chosen a new trophy company, Aspendale Trophies. They have sponsored all the engraving and the setting up of our logo which has certainly proved to be a valuable sponsorship forthe club.

A big thank you to everyone who has been involved wth the new nipper program and the assistance and support you ahv all given me this season it was a pleasure to work with you all.
